WHO WE ARE A truck is not just a truck. For the haulage company that needs to lift heavy materials, the contractor who needs to unload at the construction site, or the recycling company that picks up containers, it needs to be built for the job it actually has to do. That's where GEHAB comes in. We design and build custom truck bodies with a focus on flatbeds, crane trucks, and load exchangers. Under our roof in Alvesta, you'll find the entire chain, from sales, design, and procurement to manufacturing, assembly, and painting. GEHAB was founded as a family business and that feeling still remains. We have 75 employees, many with long experience and some who have been with us for over 25 years. We know each other, help each other when needed, and are proud of what we build. Since 2021, GEHAB has been part of the Swedish-owned Inducore Group. Read more about us at gehab.com THE ASSIGNMENT We have a strong market position and have already filled production for almost a year ahead. As our CEO is now seeking his successor in connection with his retirement, we need someone who can build on everything that works well and at the same time take GEHAB to the next level. More specifically, the assignment is about: Get more out of production We want to continue growing by getting more out of the factory and organization we have today. Here we see potential above all in better planning and a more even flow through production. Together with our managers and employees, you will continue to develop how we work, including through better production planning, smarter working methods, and better utilization of our business systems. Develop our long-term strategy In the short term, the goal is to fill capacity in our existing factory. In the longer term, there are several possible paths forward. Together with the management team and the group, you will explore which segments and types of business we should prioritize, how we continue to grow with good profitability, and whether GEHAB should grow into more geographic markets in the future. Lead and develop our managers You will join an experienced team with extensive knowledge of customers, products, and production. Your role is to create good conditions for managers to drive their areas, be available as support and a sounding board, and at the same time give them space to take responsibility and make decisions. You report to the Business Area Manager and are based in Alvesta. WHO YOU ARE This is a role for you who genuinely enjoy production, feel at home among people, and are motivated to work with an experienced team to make a good company even better. You who will succeed in this assignment and thrive with us: Have experience from manufacturing industry Your background is in engineering or industrial companies with in-house production, where you have solid experience leading managers and holding broad business and results responsibility. You may have been a site manager, factory manager, business area manager, or CEO. The industry is less important, but you need to feel at home in an industrial environment where design, production, and business need to work together. Understand production for real You don't need to understand truck body customization – we can teach you that. But you need to understand production well enough to see what affects the flow, ask the right questions, and challenge when things can be done better. You enjoy being close to production and developing working methods together with the people who know it best. Think strategically You can both be present and lift your gaze to see what needs to happen in the long term. With an analytical and business perspective, you understand what drives results and profitability and use financial information as a basis for decisions. This means you can weigh different options against each other, prioritize, and translate a long-term direction into concrete goals and plans. Are confident in your leadership You don't need to have all the answers yourself but give your managers responsibility and space to lead, while you're available to coach, challenge, and follow up. You're good at listening to different perspectives and bringing people with you, but you're also confident enough to make decisions and stand firm when necessary, even when not everyone agrees. Are down-to-earth and unpretentious At GEHAB, the distance is short between the office and the workshop, and we want it to stay that way. You're easygoing and enjoy people, have an easy time building trust, and are equally comfortable on the production floor as in the management team. AIM'S REFLECTIONS It's not often you get to take over as CEO of a company with high demand, good profitability, a large order book, and an organization where many have worked together for decades. GEHAB is a well-functioning company with lots of knowledge, pride, and a culture worth protecting. There's nothing here that needs to be rebuilt from scratch. The next CEO needs to first understand what has made GEHAB successful, and then together with the organization see where we can become even better. We believe that whoever succeeds in this assignment understands production, is curious about the business, and is confident enough in their leadership to take advantage of all the expertise that already exists in the company. And the opportunities are great. There's more to get out of production, opportunities to develop the business, and a strong foundation to continue building on.
