About the Role
As CEO, you will have the opportunity to lead the establishment of a new strategic innovation arena with national and international significance. You report to the board and have overall responsibility for operations, finances, personnel, financing, partnerships, and the organization's long-term development.
Your assignment includes:
• Establishing Blekinge Science Park as a nationally and internationally recognized innovation hub.
• Building an innovation system that brings together companies, academia, the public sector, the Armed Forces, investors, and international partners.
• Developing research and innovation environments, test beds, and strategic initiatives within Blekinge's areas of strength.
• Attracting national and international programs, projects, and investments.
• Building an organization with high expertise, strong culture, and clear implementation capability.
You will work at the intersection of business, research, the public sector, and defense where collaboration and trust-building relationships are crucial to success.
About You
We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree. Doctoral education is meritorious.
You also have:
• Documented leadership experience from a complex knowledge-based organization.
• Experience from technology-intensive industry, research, innovation, or R&D activities.
• Good understanding of digitalization and advanced technology.
• Experience building and developing strategic partnerships.
• Experience collaborating with boards, public funders, and other strategic stakeholders.
• International experience and strong knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is meritorious if you have experience in:
• Business development and commercialization.
• Innovation support, incubation, or cluster development.
• Transformation leadership and environmental monitoring.
• Defense, dual-use technology, or critical infrastructure.
• Digitalization, maritime technology, advanced manufacturing, or software development.
