Care-Focused Service Staff, Hourly Position

Transportation Unit Region Uppsala is characterized by strong growth, and the Property and Service department is an important part of this. At Property and Service, we generate revenues of over one billion kronor and employ approximately 400 staff members. We develop, manage, and maintain over 700,000 square meters of space, ranging from new advanced healthcare buildings to medieval castles. We also handle transportation and work with logistics solutions within Region Uppsala, and we are responsible for meal service to inpatient patients. Most of our customers are within healthcare, with Akademiska sjukhuset being our largest customer. Our Operations The Transportation Unit is a unit within the Service Department, Region Uppsala. The unit is responsible for various types of transportation and service functions throughout the region 24/7 and consists of approximately 90 employees. We are now seeking staff for hourly positions. Your Assignment You will be responsible for service functions within transportation/logistics at Akademiska sjukhuset. We have varying work hours and varying work tasks. Some of your responsibilities will include handling patient transportation, storage, textiles, waste, and more. Your Qualifications Requirements: • Class B driver's license • Completed upper secondary education • Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written • Good physical condition, as the work requires heavy lifting and walking long distances. Merits: • Class C driver's license • Forklift certification Your Competence You are very service-minded and enjoy customer contact. Since the work involves many social interactions, you must be outgoing and have a feel for providing good service. You have your feet firmly on the ground and have good collaboration skills as well as the ability to independently organize daily work. You thrive in a dynamic and sometimes stressful environment and enjoy juggling multiple tasks. It is important for this position that you are positive, thorough, structured, flexible, and a problem solver. The computer and its systems are work tools you use daily.
