We are a university healthcare unit that conducts research, education, and development in collaboration with Karolinska Institute. We are growing to help more patients, and since 2023, the hospital's capacity has tripled and eight new operations have launched. The Palliative Clinic consists of specialized inpatient palliative care (SPSV), advanced home healthcare (ASIH), and Lilla Erstagården. Together, we are approximately 130 employees with strong shared commitment to high-quality palliative care. Our ASIH provides advanced home healthcare to patients with complex care needs. The operation has grown approximately 30 percent over the past two years and currently serves around 180 patients with 50 staff members. To create good conditions for close and sustainable leadership, we are now strengthening the operation with an additional unit manager. The role involves leading and developing the operation together with a colleague manager and helping maintain high quality and close culture as the operation grows. About the Role As Care Unit Manager for ASIH, you are responsible for operations, quality, work environment, and finances. You lead the operation together with a colleague manager and play a central role in ensuring high quality, good results, and a well-functioning work environment. You lead an experienced multiprofessional team consisting of registered nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and coordinators. The staff has high expertise in palliative care and work together to create security and continuity for patients and loved ones in their home environment. Physicians are led by the operation's medical director. You are part of the Palliative Clinic's management group together with the operation manager, medical director, and other unit managers. In the role, you collaborate closely with both colleagues within the clinic and other departments at the hospital. The assignment combines operational leadership with operation development. Together with staff and colleagues, you drive the operation's development to create the best possible care for patients and loved ones. Your Experience We are looking for you who: have professional credentials within a healthcare profession have experience in management or leadership roles within healthcare have experience leading staff and operations It is a plus if you: are a licensed registered nurse have experience in palliative care have experience leading complex home-based operations, such as ASIH, home healthcare, or home care services have experience with change and development work Other Information About the Recruitment Since the recruitment process is ongoing during the summer, selection will begin from week 29.
