The ambulance and emergency care operations area in Region Gävleborg has approximately 400 employees distributed across six geographic ambulance areas and two emergency departments at hospitals in Gävle and Hudiksvall. Ambulance services are responsible for pre-hospital care by ensuring high quality, strong expertise, and broad collaboration. In Gävle/Ockelbo, we have approximately 70 employees who staff the operations' two stations and associated ambulances. We are now seeking a Care Unit Manager for ambulance services in Gävle and Ockelbo who, together with a co-manager and staff members, wants to lead, develop, and shape an operation in constant motion. Through close collaboration, you will create shared conditions for a sustainable work environment, patient safety, and continued development of the operations. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES As Care Unit Manager for the ambulance stations in Gävle and Ockelbo, you will share operational leadership with your co-manager, with joint responsibility for daily operations, staff, work environment, and ensuring compliance with laws, agreements, and internal guidelines. In this shared leadership model, you will be responsible for an operation with approximately 70 employees, with direct personnel responsibility for approximately 35 employees. You will also take significant responsibility for care and quality matters and ensure these are handled properly. The shared leadership model involves close collaboration with an experienced co-manager, where you can support each other, discuss decisions, development issues, and operational challenges. This creates favorable conditions for sustainable leadership and stable management of the operations. The unit's employees are distributed across two stations where they staff our ambulances and our day vehicle, which means that as Care Unit Manager you will travel between locations to provide present leadership. Other shorter trips within the region may also occur. You will be part of the operations area's management group and work from a holistic perspective, where you serve as an important link between management and staff.
