The position is placed within the Care and Social Services Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Care and Social Services Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health and medical care, authority functions, procurement of services, and conducts care and social services in-house. Welcome to us! Your Tasks Within home care services, you provide support and care directly in people's homes. Here you have the opportunity to really make a difference and become a crucial part of someone's life, every day. You encounter a wide variety of needs and challenges, which makes the work both varied and rewarding. Your tasks are varied and based on each individual's needs. This includes nursing work and personal hygiene, cleaning, laundry, simple meal preparation, and social interaction. The work also includes certain delegated nursing tasks from nurses. A mobile device is your primary work tool, which shows which visits you have and what needs to be done. You also have contact with relatives and other stakeholders. Your commitment helps more people continue to live an independent life in their own home. Your Workplace In April 2026, Linköping Municipality took over responsibility for home care and senior living in Vikingstad. With us, you get to be part of developing the operation forward. Vikingstad senior living offers 24 apartments. The operation also shares premises with Solgläntans care residence. Home care services are provided at the senior living facility and throughout the Vikingstad area. Here, approximately 30 committed nursing assistants and care assistants work together to offer our residents good nursing care and support at home. Your working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend. Usual working times are 07-16 and 13-22. About You We are looking for someone with a complete upper secondary education, and it is advantageous if you are trained as a nursing assistant. You have work experience from one of the following sectors: care, support and social services, service, retail, or restaurant work, or other related activities that involve contact with and service to others. Work within elderly care involves extensive contact with users and documentation, which means it is a requirement that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish. You have good computer skills and the ability to use digital tools in your work. You need to be able to cycle, and a category B driving license is required as we drive cars on the job. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward. You also work well with other people, listen, and communicate clearly, and have the ability to adapt your communication style. It is also important that you have empathy and can put yourself in others' perspectives and situations. You adapt easily to new circumstances and see opportunities in changes.
