Your Assignment In this position, you will work days, evenings, weekends, split shifts, and potential resource assignments. You need to be flexible and prepared for the possibility that you may work across the entire Welfare sector for periods, not just within the Kastanjen home care area. We have close collaboration with all home care teams in Söderhamns Municipality. The role of a care assistant is to meet individuals' basic and specific care and nursing needs. The role involves protecting and respecting each person's right to privacy, self-determination, participation, and individual adaptation to enable the user to live as independently as possible. Work tasks may include assisting with toilet visits, showering, dressing, light meal preparation, cleaning, and accompanying. It may also be relevant to perform medical tasks according to delegation from a nurse. By providing care and social contact, you become an important part of the user's daily life. Description of the Workplace Home Care Kastanjen is a cheerful group of nursing assistants and care assistants working from our home care office in Ljusne. We consist of three work teams that are geographically divided. You who are applying for this position should have a sense of the equal value of all people regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, or age. Your Competence You are trained as a care assistant with at least 800 approved gymnasium points in selected courses from the care and social services program. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in care and social services work. Since computers and phones are used as work tools, it is necessary that you have computer and telephone skills and that you master the Swedish language in speech and writing. A Category B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
