Your Work Tasks
At Hjulsbrovägen 28, you work with people who have physical, mental, and/or intellectual disabilities. You work together with the individual based on their needs, and together you create a meaningful everyday life where the guiding principles are independence and participation. Your work tasks include providing support in both daily life and leisure activities, personal care, health, and functional ability. You provide educational support and work deliberately to help the individual use and develop their abilities as independently as possible. In addition to these tasks, you also clean, do laundry, go shopping, and manage medications.
We work with IBIC (Individual Needs at the Center), which means you keep the individual's needs in focus. You are a contact person for some of our users and are responsible for structuring and planning their stay on a short-term basis together with them. Together you design the services provided and document them in an implementation plan. Your work includes documenting and recording in the Treserva system. As a contact person, you also maintain close contact with relatives and other external parties.
Your Workplace
Are you our new colleague? You are an important piece of the puzzle in our work to create good days for the individual, the operation, and the staff team. We are now looking for a new colleague who wants to be part of our work group. The operation coordinates planning with other units, which means that work at multiple locations may be relevant.
For these positions, the employment rate is at least 75% and 50%, but due to the right to full-time work as applied in Linköping Municipality, you have the opportunity to choose a higher employment rate up to full-time. We are looking for someone who is positive, organized, and sees opportunities instead of obstacles. Living in a short-term residence means that the user comes here and stays for a few days a month according to their individual needs. Five people live here daily, and approximately 20 people visit during a month. Our target group consists of users over 21 years old with cognitive and sometimes physical disabilities who have varying support and care needs.
The short-term residence at Hjulsbrovägen 28 is beautifully located in the southern parts of Linköping in the Hjulsbro district. The residence consists of a single-story villa with five bedrooms, a spacious shared kitchen and living room with a wood stove. Outdoors there is a large patio, a hammock, and a greenhouse. You can get there just as easily by public transport, car, or bike, as the bus stops right outside.
You as an Applicant
We are looking for someone who has completed upper secondary education, preferably from the health and care program or the children and recreation program, and has experience working or interning in support, health, and care. Experience with the target group within LSS is meriting.
For this position, experience with assistive technical devices and medication management is desirable. Previous experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is meriting for the position. Some users have limitations in verbal communication, so knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication, such as visual supports or sign language support, is also desirable. The work involves a lot of contact with relatives and other contacts, as well as documentation, which means it is a requirement that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is meriting if you have experience documenting in record systems, implementation plans, and have worked based on IBIC.
To succeed in the role, we see that you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and move your work forward. You have good cooperation skills and work well with other people, are attentive and communicative. You have empathic ability and can understand others' perspectives and situations without taking over their feelings. You also adapt easily to changed circumstances and can quickly change your perspective and approach.
