Join Us as a CBT Therapist to Build Our New Treatment Structure
Do you want to be driven by making a real difference and daily giving people a better life? Are you looking for a role where you don't just follow established paths, but actually get to help chart the course? And moreover, get the opportunity to develop at a company where commitment, joy, and responsibility are core values? We at K-Rehab AB, which consists of a residential home for women and a residential home for men with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, are currently in an incredibly exciting phase of transformation. We are developing and renewing our operations to build the future of co-occurring disorder care. We are now seeking a passionate and confident CBT therapist who wants to play a key role in this work. With us, you'll have a unique opportunity to influence, put your own mark on the treatment structure, and together with us plan an entirely new way of working. Welcome to a team where your ideas make a difference! About the position This is a permanent full-time employment based at our residential homes in Älvkarleby. As a CBT therapist, you will be the architect behind structured talk therapy for our clients struggling with complex issues including substance abuse and psychiatric co-occurring disorders. Some clients receive medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction (LARO). You won't just work in an isolated therapy room; with us, therapy is integrated with daily life. You'll be part of an engaged and interdisciplinary team consisting of treatment educators, nurses, and management, where together you create continuity in the client's rehabilitation. Since we're in the middle of a development journey, you're expected to be proactive in structuring how CBT principles and new methods can permeate the entire residential environment. As a CBT therapist, you will mainly work with: Conducting individual CBT treatment adapted for integrated treatment of substance abuse and psychiatric diagnoses. Carrying out functional behavioral analyses to map triggers and maintaining factors. Applying and delivering structured treatment interventions such as Relapse Prevention (ÅP), CRA, and criminal behavior programs. Planning and implementing the new way of working at the residence, including coaching colleagues on how therapeutic strategies can be supported in daily life. Documenting treatment progress and collaborating with external parties such as social services and addiction psychiatry. Who are you? To thrive and succeed in this role, you are personally mature and confident in your clinical competence. You quickly become a stable point in an occasionally high-intensity environment, and you have a natural ability to stay calm in crisis situations and set secure boundaries with warmth. Because we are shaping a new way of working, we are looking for someone who is flexible, solution-focused, and motivated by collaborating and thinking creatively together with our team. You have a genuine, non-judgmental approach and a deep understanding that women and men with substance abuse often have different vulnerabilities and life histories. For this position, you must: Have completed basic psychotherapy training in CBT (previously called Step 1). Have documented experience working with substance abuse issues combined with psychiatric co-occurring disorders (e.g., ADHD, PTSD, depression, anxiety). Have good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. It is also advantageous if you: Are a licensed psychotherapist (have completed the Psychotherapy Program, previously called Step 2). Have training or experience in third-wave CBT (such as ACT, DBT, or CFT) and/or trauma treatment. Have training and experience in various methodology trainings such as Relapse Prevention, An Independent Life (ESL), Criminal Behavior Programs, and similar. Have experience with change initiatives or having helped build new treatment structures before. What happens now? We encourage you to apply as soon as possible as we review applications on an ongoing basis and may fill the position before the final application deadline.
