Vällingbyskolan Seeks Math and Swedish Teacher for Grade 4 (Temporary Position)

Here, dedicated and experienced staff work every day to create the best possible school for our students. Over recent school years, we have made a focused effort to strengthen student well-being work by expanding the number of special education teachers, counselors and school nurses, and by introducing full-time mentors in grades 4–9. During the previous school year, the school also became HBTQ-certified. The school leadership consists of a principal, three assistant principals and an administrative manager. Your Role We are now seeking a certified and qualified teacher in Swedish and Math for grade 4. The position also includes remedial instruction for students in grades 4–6. We're looking for someone who is a clear leader in the classroom and creates a teaching environment characterized by learning, safety and community. As a teacher, you play a central role in student learning. You are confident in your leadership and have a strong ability to adapt instruction based on both group and individual levels. You are motivated by seeing each student develop according to their abilities and work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. You are organized, responsible, unpretentious and communicative, with a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. Your engagement in teaching your subjects is contagious and contributes to students' desire to develop. By creating trusting relationships, you lay the foundation for their learning and development. In collaboration with colleagues, you are responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring instruction. You are part of a team where cooperation, communication and collegial learning are central. Together you take responsibility for students' knowledge development and social well-being. Your Competence and Experience We are looking for a teacher who: • is certified and qualified to teach Swedish and Math in grades 4–6. • has good knowledge and experience in strengthening students' knowledge development through adapted methods and strategies • believes in students' abilities, has high expectations and is passionate about seeing them grow • combines pedagogical skill with safety, structure and warmth We place great emphasis on personal suitability and how you complement our team.
