Vallentuna Friskola is an independent grades 6-9 school founded in 2002 with approximately 250 students and over 30 employees.
At Vallentuna Friskola, we have high expectations for our students. Our well-educated and experienced teachers work to provide students with high-quality education in a safe learning environment. Our shared goal is for all students at Vallentuna Friskola to acquire solid knowledge, feel secure, and develop into active, creative, competent, and responsible individuals. Vallentuna Friskola offers a developing and exciting workplace where we collectively conduct systematic quality work. Since the 2021/22 school year, we have implemented the Olweus program, which consists of a series of coordinated, research-based measures designed to create a school environment where students can learn, thrive, and feel safe. In addition to safety, we also work systematically and collaboratively on a structured learning environment.
We use the school platform Schoolsoft, and each subject creates lesson plans and assignments in Google Classroom. All students have their own Chromebook.
Vallentuna Friskola is located at Lars Hård's Way 20B, featuring large, spacious classrooms, centralized specialized rooms, and a fantastic schoolyard with proximity to forest with walking trails.
About the Position
Working as a substitute teacher primarily involves covering for regular staff when needed, but in some cases may lead to more permanent resource hours or longer substitute assignments. The length of the assignment may vary, and working hours are agreed upon based on the school's needs and your preferences. You should be able to cover shifts with short notice and for planned absences.
Substitute work, daytime, as needed.
Hourly wage.
Start date by agreement.
Qualifications
As a substitute teacher with us, you should first and foremost have a genuine interest in children and young people. You build good relationships easily, are confident in yourself, have a positive view of people, and can set boundaries when necessary. As a person, you are engaged, flexible, organized, responsible, and have good collaboration skills. You are comfortable following instructions and can create a good and safe learning environment.
We would like to see that you have education and/or relevant work experience with children and young people. To communicate with colleagues and students, you need to have a strong command of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Experience with similar work tasks is a merit.
