Welcome as Chief Physician to 24-Hour Psychiatric Care at Psychiatry Northwest, Danderyd Hospital Psychiatry Northwest, a university clinic in the northwestern part of the Stockholm County Health Care Area (SLSO), is one of our five total departments. Three of our 24-hour care units are located at Danderyd Hospital and two are located at St. Göran Hospital. Each department has a chief physician who is a medical administrative leader. We are now seeking you as a chief physician/specialist physician who wants to work as an additional resource within the 24-hour care section. On the departments where you are placed, you will work together with nurses, care assistants, counselors, and occupational therapists in close collaboration with outpatient care, which is also part of both Psychiatry Northwest and other care providers. Psychiatry Northwest provides psychiatric care at the specialist level in outpatient and 24-hour care and has approximately 450 committed employees who constantly strive to provide patients with good, safe, and equitable care. It is important for us to offer high accessibility and a well-functioning care chain, where outpatient and 24-hour care work closely together. We also view patient participation as well as collaboration with next of kin and care partners as very important. Duties As a chief physician/specialist physician, you have medical responsibility on the department where you are placed. Assessment and treatment take place based on multidisciplinary teamwork with other personnel groups. The work also includes handling of psychiatric coercive care. The clinic has two on-call lines for specialist physicians. Qualifications Licensed physician, specialist physician in psychiatry. You are interested in psychiatric 24-hour care, have good collaborative skills, and enjoy teamwork. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Terms Permanent employment on a full-time basis, 40 hours per week. Start date by agreement. For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Health Care Area: - register checks are applied before the employment decision according to SLSO's overarching instruction for register checks at employment. - employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination, according to applicable guidelines, which is conducted by occupational health services before employment. - in addition to Swedish professional credentials, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required.
