Your Assignment As a custodian in the Skuru-Duvnäs Rectoral Area, you will work together with a colleague to provide service, maintenance, and upkeep of the rectoral area's operations, which includes six schools and five preschools. You play an important role in creating a safe, secure, and well-functioning environment for children, students, and staff. Your duties include: addressing maintenance requests that come in through the municipality's case management system minor repairs as well as painting, assembly, and anchoring work assembling, repairing, and reusing furniture and equipment overseeing moves, furnishing, and refurnishing of facilities handling recycling and waste according to applicable procedures transporting materials and, when needed, delivering meals between operations cooperating with principals, educators, administrative staff, and external vendors participating in facility and safety inspections and contributing to systematic fire safety and occupational health efforts. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and involves some travel between the rectoral area's operations. The position also includes some driving of the rectoral area's larger service vehicles. Heavy lifting may occur, for example in connection with moves and furnishing. The position is based during daytime on weekdays and is suitable for you if you enjoy practical, varied, and service-oriented work where you can help contribute to a well-functioning educational environment. Your Experience For this position, you must have: experience working as a custodian or in a similar role, such as facility manager, carpenter, electrician, or tradesperson, or you have acquired these skills in another way a Class B driver's license It is meritorious if you also have: training as a facility manager, carpenter, electrician, tradesperson, or another field relevant to the role experience managing and maintaining properties good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing experience working in schools and/or preschools.
