Description Katrinelund Upper Secondary School and Bernadotte Upper Secondary School together form Sweden's largest elite sports upper secondary school. The schools have approximately 1,400 students, of which roughly half are elite athletes. The position is full-time and you will be employed on a fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. You will join the service unit for Katrinelund and Bernadotte Upper Secondary Schools, which is a support function within custodial and facilities management. Daily work is led by a supervising service technician, and currently the unit consists of three service technicians and one custodian. The service unit works to ensure a good work environment for everyone who works and spends time in the school facilities. Our work is characterized by good service spirit and quality. As a custodian, you will work with facility maintenance and daily inspection both indoors and outdoors. Your tasks include repairs/maintenance, mail and package handling, receiving deliveries, and managing various types of maintenance requests. You may also be responsible for managing the schools' alarms, keys, and access systems. In your work, you will frequently be in contact with the City Property Management and external contractors on various facility matters. We see that you thrive in an environment with lots of activity and movement and understand the importance of being a good role model for our students. As a custodian, you are an important person who contributes to the daily functioning of the school. Working hours are daytime, but occasional schedule adjustments may occur. In rare cases, weekend and evening work may be required. For better health, we maintain smoke-free working hours. Qualifications We are looking for someone with upper secondary education. We welcome experience from similar work tasks as described above. You are service-oriented, organized, thorough, and flexible. You have the ability to work together with others to complete tasks and reach goals. By being interested and showing understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the overall picture. You have good physical fitness as the work may involve heavy lifting. The work pace can at times be demanding, and the job requires you to be independent and able to plan your workday based on operational needs. In your daily work as a custodian, you will meet many different people, which requires strong communication skills. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Since much of the schools' internal communication takes place digitally, experience with IT systems as a work tool is a merit. You show consideration for those you meet in your professional role.
