The custodial department is a small and vital part of the municipality's operations. Through service, maintenance, and practical solutions, we create the best possible conditions so that other municipal operations can focus on their tasks.
We operate from a shared local base, but the entire municipality is our work area. The work is varied with both planned tasks and rapid response assignments where the needs of the operations are in focus. We often work together, but also independently with significant personal responsibility.
Through close cooperation with the municipality's various operations, we contribute daily to ensuring that employees and residents have a well-functioning and safe environment.

WORK DUTIES
As a custodian with us, you work with supervision, maintenance, and upkeep of the municipality's operational facilities. The work tasks are varied and include, among other things, service to the operations, troubleshooting, minor repairs, and responsibility for ensuring that facilities and surrounding areas function safely and appropriately.
An important part of the assignment is cooperation with employees in the municipality's various departments and operations. You have daily contact with operational staff, contractors, and colleagues, which places demands on good collaboration skills, service orientation, and a solution-focused work approach.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with experience in similar tasks and who is accustomed to working independently with a broad service assignment. Experience with and training in facility management are merits. You need to have technical understanding and competence to troubleshoot, identify problems, and implement appropriate measures within your area of responsibility. When required, you should also be able to assess when external expertise needs to be engaged.
The position offers opportunities for development. Within the operations, there are properties managed in-house, which provides an opportunity to broaden and deepen your knowledge of facility operations, maintenance, and management over time.
