As a custodian, you will work with the operation, maintenance, and supervision of the municipality's sports and outdoor facilities. The assignment includes ice rinks, sports halls, soccer fields with natural and artificial turf, jogging trails, outdoor areas, and ski slopes. The work is varied and follows the needs of the operations and seasons. JOB DUTIES Your role includes, among other things: • Manage the daily operations, supervision, and preventive maintenance of our facilities • Perform minor repairs, carpentry work, and other practical measures • Maintain natural grass fields through activities such as mowing, line marking, watering, fertilizing, aeration, and top dressing • Maintain artificial turf fields through brushing, harrowing, cleaning, leaf removal, and granulate refilling • Work with ice maintenance and ice rink operations • Maintain jogging trails, outdoor areas, activity surfaces, and other outdoor environments • Use, care for, and perform daily supervision of machines, tools, and work vehicles • Work on seasonal tasks, such as snow removal and winter maintenance • Inspect equipment, lighting, signage, and other functions from a safety and accessibility perspective • Handle malfunctions, perform minor repairs, and submit failure reports when other measures are needed • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to planning, structure, and development of work methods and routines • Provide excellent service and maintain constructive dialogue with associations, visitors, contractors, and partners. Work duties may vary between different facilities and throughout the year. You therefore need to be prepared to help where operational needs are greatest. QUALIFICATIONS Who are you? We are looking for someone who enjoys independent and practical work, but who also sees collaboration as a natural part of everyday life. You take responsibility, work in a structured manner, and have the ability to prioritize when conditions change rapidly. Since you will be meeting with associations, visitors, and other partners, you need to be service-oriented, solution-focused, and clear in your communication. You contribute to a good work environment and treat people professionally, even when the pace is high or an unexpected situation arises. The work is largely physical and is carried out both indoors and outdoors during all seasons of the year. We are looking for someone who has • Experience with practical work in operations, property management, parks, sports facilities, ski slopes, or other areas that the employer deems equivalent • Experience using machines, tools, and work vehicles • Ability to work both independently and with others • Good ability to plan, prioritize, and complete work tasks • Good service and collaboration skills • Ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing • At least category B driver's license. It is an advantage if you have • Experience with operation and maintenance of sports or outdoor facilities • Knowledge of natural or artificial turf maintenance • Experience with ice maintenance and ice rink work • Experience with operation of jogging trails, outdoor areas, or ski slopes • Training in wheel loaders, snow grooming equipment, chainsaws, or scissor lifts • Category BE driver's license • Training in artificial turf, natural turf, ice maintenance, or safety on natural ice • Experience with contact and cooperation with sports associations.
