Your Profile As a facilities manager at Montessori Mondial Kungsholmen, you have overall responsibility for the school's premises, equipment, and outdoor environment. You ensure that our physical environment is safe, functional, and fit for purpose, thereby facilitating the educational work and supporting student learning. In your role, you are a central and visible person in the operation. You provide daily service and support to both staff and students and actively contribute to a safe and pleasant school environment. Your Main Responsibilities Operations, Maintenance and Facilities: Perform minor repairs, maintenance work, and preparation of premises. Conduct regular rounds, inspect the school environment, and address items on the facilities manager checklist. Manage furniture (inventory and relocation), mail, deliveries, and the recycling room. Handle seasonal tasks, such as cordoning off areas during snow and at the end of the school year. Technology, Safety and Systems: Manage ongoing operational issues and provide support regarding technical equipment (copiers, projectors, audio and lighting equipment). Take responsibility for systematic fire safety work and continuously monitor fire safety, including regular replacement of water in emergency supplies. Participate in safety rounds and follow up on decided measures. Contact with External Parties: Submit fault reports and maintain ongoing communication with the property manager (SISAB), contractors and tradespeople (e.g., painters), and follow up on matters. Relationship-Building Work and Service: Be a present and positive adult in the operation who builds good relationships with students. Participate in the school's recess activities daily from 12.20–13.00. Participate in the school's administrative meetings. Who Are You? For you to thrive and succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who is: Experienced and technically handy: You have solid practical experience in facilities management, property maintenance, or similar trades/operations work. You have good understanding of basic technology, locks/access systems, and property operations. Independent and organized: You take own initiatives, structure your work well, and see what needs to be done without waiting for instructions. Solution-oriented: You often face varying challenges during a workday and switch between tasks in a flexible and solution-focused manner. Relationship-building and service-oriented: You enjoy working with people! You have a warm manner and professional approach toward children, young people, colleagues, and external suppliers.
