As part of the Närsorterat project, we're continuing to expand our operations and recruiting more full-time drivers in Enköping. As a driver with us, you and your colleagues are responsible for waste collection in the local area. You'll be part of the Transport and Logistics department, where Collection East is one of four units focusing on collection in the region. About the Role As a driver with us, you'll get a physical, varied, and meaningful job where you drive both side-loaders and rear-loaders to collect waste from households and businesses. In this role, you'll work closely with transport management and supervisors who support your workday by planning routes efficiently. Today's route is predetermined and managed via Future/Mobile, our transport management system. You're responsible for today's assignments and reporting any discrepancies. During your workdays, you're the organization's extended arm in the field and represent VafabMiljö in a trustworthy manner. After completing your route, you weigh in and empty the material at our waste facilities. Work environment is important to us, and you're responsible for daily vehicle maintenance. Your main areas of responsibility: - Drive various types of transport vehicles (side-loaders and rear-loaders) safely and efficiently to collect waste. - Carry out daily routes from Mobile and report back and enter any discrepancies in the system. - Ensure that material is weighed in and emptied correctly at our waste facility after each daily route. - Contribute to a pleasant work environment, including responsibility for daily vehicle maintenance. - Represent the organization in a trustworthy manner. To succeed in this role, we see that you have: - Completed upper secondary education in vehicles and transport or relevant vocational training. Alternatively, relevant experience as a professional driver. - C-class driver's license. - Valid YKB (occupational driving license). - Good ability to handle digital work tools, such as mobile apps and email on your phone. - Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written. It's advantageous if you also have: - Previous professional experience as a driver in waste management. - CE-class driver's license. - Driver's card. - ADR certification. - Previous professional experience as a driver familiar with following daily route schedules. Other Good to Know: The position is full-time until further notice, with a 6-month probationary period. You'll be based at the operations office at Kvartsgatan 13 in Enköping. Working hours are on weekdays, and shifts are normally 06:00–15:00 or 06:30–15:30. Weekly working hours are 38.25 hours. Work also occurs on public holidays that fall Monday–Friday.
