Vidzemes University Scientific Institute announces a competition for vacant positions:
Senior Researcher - 2 positions; Field of Science: Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies, Sub-field: Systems Analysis, Modeling and Design.
Candidates for the Senior Researcher position must hold a doctoral degree, have scientific publications and/or patents relevant to the research profile, be capable of independently conducting scientific research, developing scientific project applications, supervising other researchers' work, and have a minimum of five years of combined scientific and academic work experience.
The scientific qualifications of candidates will be evaluated by the Institute's Scientific Council in accordance with the "Regulations on Elections to Academic Positions at Vidzemes University" (https://va.lv/dokumenti).
Candidates must submit to the Institute's Scientific Council by August 9, 2026: an application letter stating their motivation for participation in the competition, indicating the position and field/sub-field of science they are applying for, copies of documents confirming education and scientific degrees, a list of published scientific works, and a CV including information about English language proficiency.
