Salaspils Municipal Government announces an open competition for the position of DIRECTOR of Salaspils Municipal Education Institution "SALASPILS 1. HIGH SCHOOL" (occupation code 1345 03, group 1, level IVA) 1. Mandatory requirements for candidates: 1.1. the candidate is not subject to restrictions established in the Education Law and the Child Rights Protection Law for working as an educator; 1.2. education in accordance with requirements set out in the Education Law and Cabinet of Ministers regulations regarding necessary education and professional qualifications for educators and professional development procedures; 1.3. at least 3 years of pedagogical work experience in education management acquired within the last five years (education management work includes work in the position of education institution director or deputy director, as well as other work related to education administration; experience in general education institution (school) management will be considered an advantage); 1.4. state language proficiency in accordance with State Language Law requirements; 1.5. proficiency in at least one other official European Union language at a level necessary for professional activities; 1.6. information technology skills; 1.7. basic knowledge of municipal institution work organization (labor legislation, record-keeping, financial matters, public procurement) and professional activities of education institutions; 1.8. excellent organizational, communication, and cooperation skills. 2. Main job responsibilities: 2.1. ensure compliance with regulatory acts regulating the education institution's activities, the institution's statute, decisions and orders of Salaspils Municipal Council, orders and methodological recommendations of the Education Department of Salaspils Municipal Central Administration; 2.2. ensure efficient and rational use of the institution's intellectual, financial, and material resources, ensure preparation, approval, and implementation of documents regulating the institution's internal order, ensure compliance with the institution's working hours; 2.3. prepare and submit the education institution's budget request, conclude necessary business contracts within the approved budget; 2.4. lead the education institution and its employees' activities in accordance with requirements of regulatory acts regulating the education sector of the Republic of Latvia, ensure the institution is staffed with appropriately qualified educators and employees; 2.5. in accordance with Labor Law conditions, hire and terminate institution employees, define employees' job duties, rights and responsibilities, prepare employee job descriptions, evaluate employee work quality; 2.6. ensure development, licensing, and implementation of education programs; 2.7. organize and ensure maintenance and management of real property assigned to the institution. 3. Preference will be given to candidates with education management experience, pedagogical work experience exceeding five years, education management work experience in the last five years, and proficiency in multiple EU official languages. 5.
