The Education, Culture and Sports Department of the Riga City Municipality (reg. No. 90011524360) is an institution of the Riga City Municipality that implements municipal policy in the education, culture and sports sectors and youth work. We invite you to apply for a vacant position: Director of a Riga City Municipality Educational Institution - Director of Riga 47. Primary School (Riga, Skaistkalnes Street 7) Requirements for candidates: education in accordance with the Education Law and Cabinet of Ministers regulations on the required education and professional qualifications for pedagogues and professional development procedures; at least three years of pedagogical work experience in the general education sector; no less than two years of experience in education management or management work in the education sector; experience in managing a general education institution is considered an advantage; knowledge of the state language at the highest level and knowledge of at least one official EU language to the extent necessary for professional activity (foreign language requirement is specified in Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 496 of 19.08.2014, section 5.3); knowledge of education quality management, institution financing and budget planning issues; knowledge of regulatory acts governing the activities of educational institutions, state and municipal education development priorities; management skills, ability to motivate employees and work in a team; good communication, cooperation and presentation skills, ability to publicly express own and institutional views; good skills in working with information and communication technologies.
