Head of a Riga City Municipality educational institution -
Director of Riga Secondary School No. 92

Requirements for candidates:
education in accordance with the requirements set out in the Education Law and Cabinet of Ministers regulations on the necessary education and professional qualifications of pedagogues and the procedure for professional development;
at least three years of pedagogical work experience in general education;
no less than two years of experience in education management work or management work in the education sector; experience in management of a general education institution is considered an advantage;
knowledge of the state language at the highest level and knowledge of at least one official European Union language to the extent necessary for professional activities (foreign language requirement is specified in Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 496 of 19.08.2014, Section 5.3);
knowledge of education quality management, institution financing, and budget planning issues;
knowledge of regulatory acts governing the operation of educational institutions, state and municipal education development priorities;
management skills, ability to motivate employees and work in a team;
good communication, cooperation, and presentation skills, ability to publicly express their own and the institution's views;
good skills in working with information and communication technologies.
Documents - a motivated application, CV, copies of documents confirming education and qualifications, a state language proficiency certificate (if required), a vision for the development directions of Riga Secondary School No. 92, the most important priorities and suggestions for their implementation (up to two A4 pages in typewritten form), a certification that the candidate is not subject to restrictions for working as a pedagogue as set out in the Education Law and the Child Rights Protection Law (found in the competition regulations appendix), and preferably recommendations must be submitted by August 25, 2026 (inclusive) with the note "Application for the position of educational institution head" by sending to the email address [email protected] or the official electronic address signed with a secure electronic signature in one EDOC format package not exceeding 25 MB, or by mail to: Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela 5, Riga, LV-1010, or personally at Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela 5, Riga (by prior arrangement by calling 67026806).
