Riga City Municipality Department of Education, Culture and Sports (Reg. No. 90011524360) is a Riga City Municipality institution that implements municipal policy in the education, culture and sports sectors and youth work We invite applications for a position at a Riga City Municipality educational institution: Director of Riga Secondary School No. 2 (Riga, Ludzas Street 43) Requirements for candidates: education in accordance with the requirements set out in the Education Law and Cabinet of Ministers regulations regarding the education and professional qualifications of educators and professional development procedures; at least three years of pedagogical work experience in general education; at least two years of experience in educational management or management in the education sector; experience in general education institution management is considered an advantage; knowledge of the state language at the highest level and knowledge of at least one official European Union language to the extent necessary for professional activities (language requirement is established in Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 496 of 19.08.2014, Section 5.3); knowledge of education quality management, institution financing and budget planning issues; knowledge of regulatory acts governing the operation of educational institutions, state and municipal education development priorities; management skills, ability to motivate employees and work in a team; strong communication, cooperation and presentation skills, ability to publicly express personal and institutional viewpoints; strong skills in working with information and communication technologies.
