Vecumnieki Secondary School invites a professional, goal-oriented, and collaboration-focused deputy director/-ress in the education sector (educational work) to join our team, who will ensure quality organization, development, and supervision of the educational process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate educational work at the school in accordance with state education standards and regulatory acts;
- Ensure quality implementation of general education programs;
- Coordinate teachers' work, provide methodological support, and promote professional development;
- Organize timetable scheduling, teacher tarification, and preparation of other documents related to the educational process;
- Supervise student learning achievements, analyze results, and plan quality improvement measures;
- Organize the conduct of state examinations and diagnostic work;
- Coordinate work with E-klase and other education information systems;
- Ensure development and updating of the school's internal regulatory acts in the field of educational work;
- Collaborate with teachers, students, parents, and state and municipal institutions;
- Participate in school development planning, self-evaluation processes, and quality assurance;
- Substitute for the director during his/her absence in accordance with delegated authorities.
Requirements for Candidates:
- Higher education in pedagogy or educational sciences in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers regulations for teachers;
- At least 3 years of pedagogical work experience; experience in education management is desirable;
- Knowledge of the Education Law, General Education Law, and other regulatory acts governing the education sector;
- Ability to plan, organize, and lead team work;
- Understanding of educational quality management and education institution development planning;
- Good digital skills (MS Office, E-klase, State Education Information Systems, etc.);
- High sense of responsibility, analytical thinking, initiative, and decision-making ability;
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
