The Waste and Water/Sewage Sector is a pleasant workplace with engaged employees facing an exciting future. The sector works with both waste and water/sewage and is responsible for operation, maintenance and development of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, waste facilities, recycling centers and more. We now need to expand our staffing and are looking for a water and sewage technician for the Pipe Network unit. Your new job As a water and sewage technician, you have an important role in the operation and maintenance of the water and sewage network. The work tasks consist of new construction/renovation of/on the water and sewage network, as well as operation and investigation work on the pipe network. On-call duty is included in the position. Typical work tasks New construction/renovation of/on the water and sewage pipe network. Operation of pipe network. Investigation work on the pipe network. On-call duty. Repair water leaks. Leak detection. Your competence Requirements: Education in water and sewage or ground and construction work or equivalent competence. Willing to collaborate and resourceful. Experienced in reading technical drawings. Have experience with pipe laying in the ground. Positive attitude and practical approach. Ability to perform physically demanding work tasks. Good computer skills. Driver's license category B The employment is classified as a security position. This means that before you are employed by Östersund Municipality, security clearance and register checks will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act (2018:585). Meritorious: YKB (occupational safety and health certification). Driver's license higher than B. Excavator operator training. Safe excavation. Diploma course in pipe technology. We are looking for you As a person, you are expected to be self-initiated, prepared to take great responsibility and demonstrate good ability to work in a team as well as work independently while being loyal to made decisions. You see the bigger picture and are quality-conscious. Extensive experience with installation and/or operation of water and sewage lines is meritorious. In the selection, great emphasis is placed on both experience in the field of activity and your personal qualities such as attitude, resourcefulness and other personal characteristics.
