The Water & Wastewater Unit is part of the Technical Administration, which also manages the municipality's properties, planning and development, building permits, food service operations, as well as street and park maintenance. The Water & Wastewater Unit is responsible for the entire municipal water services sector. This includes operation, maintenance, development and renewal of facilities and pipe networks. The unit also handles customer inquiries related to water metering, connections, and subscriptions. In Habo Municipality, you'll have close access to decision-makers, short communication lines, and great opportunities to make an impact. Here you'll help drive development forward. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES As a Water & Wastewater Engineer, you'll have a broad and responsible role where you work with both strategic and practical matters. You will, among other things: · Plan, develop, and renew the municipality's water and wastewater pipe networks. · Drive and follow up investment projects within the water and wastewater sector. · Act as a client representative toward contractors and consultants. · Conduct investigations, analyses, and technical inspections. · Handle customer matters related to water service connections. · Manage, develop, and update the municipality's pipe network maps. · Participate in developing work processes and long-term operational planning. · Work with procurement, permit applications, financial follow-up, and reporting. The role involves many contact points, both internally and externally. You'll collaborate daily with operations technicians, engineers, contractors, project managers, authorities, and community residents. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone with education in road and water engineering, civil engineering, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. You are analytical, solution-oriented, and enjoy taking responsibility. You're comfortable driving projects forward and have the ability to combine structure and planning with flexibility when operational needs change. To succeed in this role, we see that you: · Have good technical understanding and interest in water and wastewater issues. · Are self-driven and comfortable making your own decisions. · Have strong collaboration skills and build trusting relationships. · Communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. · Are engaged, thorough, and development-oriented. It is advantageous if you have: · Experience with project management or client representation. · Experience working within water and wastewater operations. · Knowledge of ArcGIS, Geosecma, or Gaida VA. · Experience with AutoCAD. · Experience with EDP Future. A Class B driver's license is required. The position is classified as a security position. Security vetting with record check will be conducted according to the Security Protection Act before employment. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Start date available by agreement.
