Department Mission The Digital Mediation Department is responsible for developing, managing, and overseeing the lifecycle of the agency's digital tools supporting mediation activities. The goal is to meet user needs and contribute to efficient and legally sound operations. The DF Design and Architecture Section brings together central functions within the department, including architecture and Pega Center of Excellence, and ensures that solutions are designed based on user and business needs, follow common principles and standards, and maintain high quality over time. Job Description DF Design and Architecture Section is seeking a UX Lead who will have overall responsibility for UX work across the entire Digital Mediation Department. You'll be part of our architecture team and work closely with our architects, Pega Center of Excellence, and UX professionals in various development teams. The position is formally filled as a UX Designer, with UX Lead as your assignment and function. As UX Lead, you are expected to: Have a coordinating role for UX matters across the entire department, with the mandate to set direction for how UX work is conducted and collaborates across disciplines; Work closely with the service design function within the agency to ensure that customer journeys and UX work align; Collaborate as equals with our Pega Center of Excellence on UX matters in the Pega platform; Promote inclusive and accessible design and consistent application of the agency's design system in departmental deliverables; Drive and develop a department-wide forum (guild) for UX professionals, with focus on knowledge sharing and unified working methods; Take coordinating responsibility for UX in the department's larger development initiatives, in a role that enables rather than executes. The role has no personnel management responsibilities. You lead through trust, collaboration, and expertise rather than through formal authority. Basic Requirements for the Position Relevant post-secondary education in UX design, service design, interaction design, HCI (Human Computer Interaction), or equivalent. Alternatively, equivalent competence acquired in another way, such as through work experience. At least 8 years of combined work experience in UX design and/or service design. At least 2 years of combined work experience in UX design and/or service design in a senior or strategic role where you have driven or coordinated UX work across functions, in collaboration with, for example, architects, development teams, and business units. Solid ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. Additional Merits for the Position Experience leading or coordinating work without formal personnel responsibility, such as UX Lead, design lead, or cross-functional coordinator. Experience building or running a guild, community of practice, or similar network, and mentoring guild members. Experience with strategic UX work in complex, matrix-managed, or public organizations. At least 6 months of experience working in complex, large-scale development initiatives with strategic importance for the business. Knowledge of Pega. Public sector values guide us in our daily work.
