We are now seeking a Development Manager for our traffic and community development operations. The Role As a Development Manager, you will have a senior and qualified role in traffic development with a focus on the greater Gothenburg metropolitan area, Mölndal and Partille (GMP). You will work on traffic planning issues where multiple perspectives, dependencies and conflicting objectives need to be balanced to contribute to long-term sustainable development of public transportation. You will drive and lead strategic initiatives and development projects, contributing your specialist expertise in decision-making, prioritization and choices. Through environmental monitoring and analysis, you will identify needs and opportunities, analyze benefits and consequences, and translate them into recommendations and proposals for the way forward. An important part of the assignment is to lead and coordinate work together with internal and external parties. You need to be able to create consensus and momentum when different needs and interests must be balanced. You will also serve as qualified support to responsible managers and work closely with other development managers within traffic development. Who Are You? To succeed in this role, you need to be confident in your expertise and accustomed to taking on significant responsibility in matters where there are not always clear-cut answers. You have the ability to see the big picture, make well-founded assessments and translate analysis and knowledge into clear recommendations and action. You are skilled at collaborating and building trusting relationships with various parties, while having the courage and ability to drive issues and challenge when needed. You are communicative and pedagogical and can make complex issues understandable to different audiences. As a leader, you create engagement, participation and direction and get others to contribute toward common goals. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have: Relevant higher education or equivalent experience. Many years of experience and deep expertise in strategic traffic development and traffic planning within public transportation. Solid experience working on traffic planning issues within the Gothenburg metropolitan area, Mölndal and Partille (GMP). Extensive experience driving and leading major development initiatives with many stakeholders and dependencies. Experience in leadership and creating direction, engagement and momentum together with others. Very strong analytical skills and experience making qualified assessments and translating them into recommendations and proposals for the way forward. Terms and Application This is a permanent full-time position based in Gothenburg. Start date by agreement. The position may require travel to our various offices in the Västra Götaland region. Depending on the assignment, the position may also be placed in a security classification.
