The Department of Children and Education in Nässjö operates 14 primary schools, adapted primary school, resource school and crisis school, as well as 24 preschools. The operations serve 5,500 children and students with 1,000 employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a development leader, you will drive systematic quality improvement work for the entire Department of Children and Education. An important focus of the role is to stay informed about research in school development, and you will support the operations in translating theory into practice. You will work closely with the operations and provide support to principals in pedagogical leadership. The role as development leader also includes:
• Conducting current state analyses, investigations, follow-ups, and evaluations.
• Coaching principals on development and quality matters.
• Together with various professionals, drive, coordinate, and support different development processes to increase goal achievement.
• Monitor the external environment and present research and news relevant to preschools and schools.
• Support principals in responding to various authorities, such as the School Inspection Authority.
As a development leader, you will also support the municipality's career teachers. A recent evaluation shows that Nässjö's career teachers find their assignments exciting, challenging, and interesting, and view their participation in pedagogical development as a privilege. Your task will be to maintain this good work while also developing it as new needs arise.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a university degree in a relevant field. You have expertise in educational matters and several years of experience working with school development. You have solid knowledge of school governance and regulations.
Beyond your knowledge and experience, personal suitability is of course important. In your role, you will work closely with school leaders and operations managers. It comes naturally to you to collaborate with other professionals in an unpretentious manner. At the same time, the position requires you to work in a structured and independent way.
An important part of your assignment is to translate theory into practice in a clear and pedagogical way. Therefore, we place high demands on communication skills in both speech and writing. As a development leader with us, you need to have a strategic approach and the ability to see the big picture across the entire operation.
