Duties Do you want to be part of developing the City Environment Department's work on social sustainability and contribute to equal living conditions and equal health in Gothenburg? In the role as coordinator/strategist for social sustainability, you will have overall responsibility for coordinating and driving the department's work in this area. You will be an important link between different parts of the operations and represent the department externally in forums related to social sustainability. You will work to integrate social sustainability perspectives in planning and follow-up, and develop working methods for how social perspectives can be addressed comprehensively in the department's core mission. The role is both strategic and coordinating, where you need to be able to see the whole picture, identify needs, and propose priorities and directions. As coordinator/strategist for social sustainability, you will have a central role in planning, coordinating, and driving the City Environment Department's work for equal living conditions and equal health. You will work closely with the department controller as well as specialists and experts in areas such as safety, participation and influence, physical accessibility, and environment and climate. The role also involves developing and anchoring action plans, collaborating with other departments and companies, and taking responsibility for follow-up and analysis of completed work. You will analyze not only results but also achieved effects, and your work will form the basis for new decision-making and planning documents. Qualifications Your Profile We are looking for someone with experience coordinating, driving, and developing social sustainability issues. You have worked strategically with social sustainability and have the ability to translate complex issues into concrete working methods, initiatives, and decision-making materials. You have the ability to see the whole picture and create structure in issues involving multiple operations and perspectives. The role requires that you can drive processes forward, coordinate different actors, and create organizational support. We are looking for someone who has: An academic degree of at least 180 hp in, for example, social science, political science, sociology, public health science, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. At least 3–5 years of documented experience with strategic and operational work on social sustainability. Experience with, for example, child impact assessments, social impact assessments, gender mainstreaming, or human rights. Experience leading development and change work and collaborating with various actors and stakeholders. Experience with analysis, follow-up, and development of decision-making materials. It is meritorious if you have: Experience from municipal, regional, or state operations. Experience with results-based logic. Education in change management or process management. Experience working with Agenda 2030 in practice. As a person, you are analytical and have the ability to see connections and draw well-founded conclusions. You are clear and pedagogical in your communication and have a talent for collaborating with different actors. You take initiative, drive the work forward, and have the ability to create organizational support and gain support for your ideas.
