We are now seeking a Development Leader to lead and coordinate Region Kronoberg's work on national minorities' rights and equality. The position is partially new and gives you the opportunity to build, develop, and implement long-term and strategic work throughout the entire organization. About the Position Region Kronoberg is facing important development work. Work with national minorities has so far been primarily conducted within cultural and library services, but now needs to be integrated throughout the organization. At the same time, the region continues to develop its work on equality and equal living conditions. As a Development Leader, you will have a central role in coordinating, developing, and following up on work in both areas. You work closely with operations, managers, political leadership, municipalities, government agencies, civil society, and other external stakeholders. You report to the Operations Manager for Public Health, Social Sustainability, and Environment at Regional Development in Region Kronoberg, where you are part of a team with development leaders and public health developers, located at Region House at Nygatan 20 in Växjö. DUTIES Your assignment includes, among other things: - Lead the work of developing and implementing goals, guidelines, and action plans for Region Kronoberg's minority policy work - Coordinate the region's work to fulfill the Minorities Act and other relevant governance documents - Develop structures for consultation, participation, and influence for national minorities - Build and develop collaboration with minority organizations, municipalities, county board, government agencies, and civil society - Initiate and implement educational and knowledge-raising initiatives - Support operations in matters concerning national minorities, minority languages, and cultural competence - Follow up and analyze the region's work based on legal requirements and national goals - Coordinate and develop the region's work on gender equality integration - Support operations in work with gender equality analyses and equal governance - Develop materials, analyses, and follow-ups - Contribute to the development of equal and inclusive treatment in the region's operations - Coordinate training, networks, and development initiatives in the field - Monitor the external environment and keep track of current legislation - Coordinate networks and working groups - Present matters and write decision briefs - Drive change and development work at strategic level QUALIFICATIONS We welcome both those with relevant academic education, such as in political science, social science, sociology, human rights, public health science, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
