Development Leader in Crime Prevention and Violence Against Women

Work Tasks The County Administrative Board has a government mandate to prevent and combat men's violence against women. We do this by coordinating the regional implementation of the national strategy within the areas of men's violence against women, honor-related violence and oppression, and prostitution and human trafficking. Furthermore, the County Administrative Board is tasked with coordinating crime prevention work and providing practice-oriented support to municipalities, as well as developing support in work with children and youth at risk of committing crimes or committing serious crimes linked to organized crime. We do this by coordinating the work at the regional level, supporting the development of knowledge-based work, contributing to cooperation and exchange of experience between different actors, supporting skills development, and providing practice-oriented support to municipalities. Coordination for us means creating structure, collecting and disseminating knowledge, enabling collaboration, and contributing to a holistic perspective and efficiency, as well as developing cross-sectoral interventions in municipalities and regions. Target groups for the work are other state authorities, municipalities in the county, the region, civil society organizations, and the business sector. Within these mandates, you will work to disseminate knowledge and create forums for dialogue and exchange of experience, develop long-term knowledge-based regional and local work, and support collaboration at local, regional, and national levels. You will also provide support to municipalities in the county within the subject area and contribute to education and skills development in the region. In the various strategies and action plans that the unit is responsible for, there are shared initiatives within the field of social sustainability. You are therefore expected to be able to work together with colleagues and also independently with designing, implementing, and following up on the work. The work also involves process management as a method for organizational development. Other assignments and work tasks may be added. The position involves close contact with various actors at local, regional, and national levels. You will also collaborate both internally with other units at the County Administrative Board and externally with municipalities, the region, authorities, civil society, and the business sector. About the Social Sustainability Unit The Social Sustainability Unit at the County Administrative Board of Västmanland works with government mandates on issues within equality, integration, human rights, and public health. At the unit, you will work with interesting and challenging tasks that have great social benefit. The unit works to strengthen collaboration between municipalities, the region, the business sector, and civil society. Within the scope of the unit's work, it also includes providing competence-building initiatives, implementing methods, and monitoring and reporting on the mandates. Qualifications Academic degree in public health science or other education deemed equivalent for the position Experience from public administration at municipal, regional, or national level Experience in process management and collaboration with different stakeholders Experience working on crime prevention issues Good knowledge of communicating in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Driver's license category B Meritorious: Experience working on issues relating to men's violence against women Good knowledge of health promotion and prevention work Experience in development and implementation work Experience in working at both strategic and detailed levels Personal Qualities As a person, you are unpretentious and have an ability to collaborate and include others.
