Development Manager, Properties - Administration for Functional Support
With us, you have the opportunity to create sustainable and functional properties that make a real difference for people. The Administration for Functional Support is responsible for activities such as housing with special services (BmSS), daily activities, and personal support. We are now seeking a Development Manager for Properties who wants to be part of our work team where collaboration, engagement, and well-being are in focus. Over the coming years, we will face several changes in the administration's property portfolio through renovations, adaptations, and development projects. As Development Manager, you are the link between the operations and the City Properties Administration, ensuring that operational needs are addressed throughout the entire process—from needs analysis to completed premises. About the Role As Development Manager, you are responsible for capturing, structuring, and implementing operational needs when premises change. You lead and coordinate startups, moves, and closures of operations, and ensure that new construction projects are handed over to the operations in a quality-assured and well-planned manner. You work closely with operational managers and provide support throughout the process. The role involves many contact points where you collaborate with facility managers, property owners, contractors, and suppliers, as well as internal functions such as procurement, IT, and security. You are responsible for managing property changes according to applicable delegations, preparing orders for renovations, and contributing to the development of common work methods, processes, and concepts. The work is both strategic and operational. One day you work with long-term planning and development, the next day you drive a project or solve practical issues together with the operations. Become Part of a Strong Team You will be one of twelve employees in the Properties, Urban Development, and Environment unit. We are a stable work team with broad expertise where we enjoy sharing experiences and helping each other. We believe in close collaboration, an open climate, and that we succeed best together. The unit includes Development Managers with different areas of responsibility, colleagues who work on new construction of BmSS, office premises, environmental issues, and an operations controller. Together, we drive development, planning, and building processes for the entire administration. With us, you have significant responsibility while always having knowledgeable colleagues to discuss ideas and challenges with. Qualifications We are seeking someone with a relevant university degree (not a vocational college degree) and experience working with property issues, project management, and change work. You have a good understanding of building processes and building technical matters, and ideally experience from public sector operations and preparing decision-making documents. To succeed in the role, you need to be organized and able to drive your work forward. You are responsive, unpretentious, and enjoy collaborating with many different people. At the same time, you have an analytical approach, see connections, and can translate operational needs into sustainable solutions. We are seeking someone who wants to help develop both our work methods and our premises—and who appreciates working in an engaged team where we support each other and have fun together.
