Description We are Gothenburg. Now we need you—someone who is change-oriented and driven—for an exciting assignment focused on driving digital development and innovation within Intraservice for the City of Gothenburg. Through this role, you'll contribute directly to societal benefit through internal efficiency improvements and a sustainable city for people and the environment. In order to accelerate progress and create conditions for the city to capitalize on digitalization opportunities, we have established a competency center for digitalization. We work to elevate, share, and leverage the city's combined expertise in digitalization. Within our designated focus areas—AI, automation, data, advanced visualization, digital competence, and architecture—we provide environmental monitoring, support and expertise, drive innovation and development within the city and externally with academia, industry, civil society, and other collaboration partners. The competency center manages an Innovation Portfolio that consolidates and manages the authority's innovation projects. The portfolio currently includes both a national Vinnova project and an EU project. We continuously monitor the external environment, and work with the city's EU office to identify new relevant externally funded projects suitable for the authority. Responsibilities Your primary responsibility in the competency center will be to lead the innovation portfolio and drive projects and assignments within it. This includes identifying new initiatives that need to be driven or managed, based on the city's overarching and strategic goals for becoming a sustainable city open to the world. Your role will also include exploring external options for innovation, collaboration, and financing within the authority's mandate. Qualifications We seek someone with a higher education degree that we consider relevant for this assignment and at least a few years of experience from similar work. Based on this, you possess broad knowledge and understanding of digitalization and driving change through projects and innovation. You find it easy to move from a strategic level to operationalizing and getting things done. Furthermore, your knowledge of Swedish and English is very good. Experience and knowledge in innovation work, external applications and project implementation, and work within public administration are merits. As a person, you are driven and ensure that change is created based on established goals. You see opportunities for change and create situations where new ideas and suggestions can develop. You motivate and explain changes pedagogically, handle criticism toward change constructively, and drive long-term and sustainable change work. You have a holistic perspective and combine operational plans with organizational goals. You have the ability to analyze the current situation and can use your analysis to methodically plan ahead. You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. You articulate the core of an argument clearly and effectively and adapt your communication to the recipient, audience, and situation. You are efficient, productive, and motivated, with strong commitment and enthusiasm for your work.
