The Social Services sector is tasked with contributing to good living conditions throughout life for people living in Härryda municipality. The sector is divided into five operational areas: Care and Support Services, Functional Support, Health and Social Assistance, Integration and Labor Market, and Children and Family. Common to the sector are an administrative unit and a development and follow-up unit.
We are seeking a development leader to develop our support for family members and caregivers. The development work is part of the social services' efforts to integrate a family perspective in accordance with the transition to the new Social Services Act and strengthened legal requirements to provide support and relief to family members, both adults and children.
The position is placed in the Health Promotion Unit, which is organized within the Health and Social Assistance operational area. The unit's mission is to offer preventive interventions aimed at helping the target group strengthen their health and maintain their independence. Implementation takes place through services without means testing, such as open senior meetings, group activities, advisory services, and group support. The unit collaborates with various actors both internally and externally, such as associations, societies, study organizations, etc.
Within the unit, nine employees work with roles such as leisure assistant, family support consultant, facilitator, health guide, project manager, and unit manager. A large number of volunteers support the unit's activities.
You work closely with the unit manager for the Health Promotion Unit, with the social services management serving as the steering committee.
Your Assignment
Would you like to help develop support for family members in Härryda municipality? The assignment is to lead, coordinate, and develop in accordance with the established guidelines for family support. The goal is to establish a structured and needs-based approach to the family perspective across all social services operations.
The assignment includes supporting operations in implementing the guidelines in practice and contributing to systematic and long-term development work.
The purpose of the assignment is to ensure that the family perspective is integrated into social services operations and that family members are recognized and, if needed, given support in accordance with the guidelines.
The assignment is carried out by:
- leading and coordinating development work based on family support guidelines within social services
- through dialogue with operations, supporting the identification of needs and development areas
- supporting the creation of needs assessments and action plans
- providing knowledge base, methods, and environmental monitoring
- following up on the work and compiling results at an overall level
Requirements for the Position
You have experience driving qualified development work
Experience with project or process management
You have adequate university education with a focus on social work, public health, or equivalent
You are familiar with social services' work and decision-making processes
You have knowledge of social services' various operational areas
It is an advantage to have knowledge within the family perspective
It is an advantage to have management experience
It is an advantage to have knowledge of methods for data collection, e.g., focus groups, service design
You should be able to analyze material and data
Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
To obtain employment, a certificate from the Police's Criminal Record Register must be provided. A certificate from the Suspicion Register may also be required depending on the position.
