Development-Focused Finance Director

We are now seeking a Finance Director for our new organization Moderna museet, which as of January 1st has integrated the operations of Statens konstråd and Arkdes. We are looking for you to take on a role where you enjoy working with change and development and want to contribute to the finance management and operations of the new Moderna museet. Role Description and Responsibilities As Finance Director, you are responsible for strategic and operational finance work, which includes leading, driving and managing the finance function's operations and supervising the function's employees, which will consist of two controllers and one finance administrator. Your responsibilities include managing and developing internal governance and control, as well as overall responsibility for operational planning and follow-up. An important part of the work is to develop appropriate methods, routines and working practices for the entire organization. As Finance Director, you have strategic responsibility but also work operationally. Your work tasks include leading and developing the finance function from a broad and strategic perspective supporting operations both strategically and operationally responsibility for processes related to budgeting, liquidity planning and forecasting, as well as analyses from a profitability and cost perspective driving operational planning and annual reporting processes preparing key figures, calculations and decision-making materials ensuring regulatory compliance and managing and developing governing documents within the group's areas of responsibility liasing with auditors and responsibility for certain authority reporting such as budget documentation responsibility for ongoing accounting and reporting contributing as part of the management team to the development of the entire organization. The finance function is part of the Management and Operations Support department, which consists of approximately 20 employees with various competencies who together provide common support to the authority. As Finance Director, you report to the department head and are part of the authority's management team. Moderna museet is located in Malmö in addition to Stockholm, and business travel is included. To be successful, you also need to have academic education in economics or finance multiple years of current experience working with qualified finance matters, such as budgeting, follow-up, forecasts and other finance decision-making materials experience working with finance management within the public sector good knowledge of accounting principles strong Swedish and English skills in both speech and writing digital maturity and strong Excel skills. It is considered advantageous if you have experience as a manager or leader in a similar role knowledge of the accounting system Agresso/Unit4. Location Moderna museet is located on Skeppsholmen in central Stockholm. Employment Terms and Start Date The position is permanent, full-time with a 6-month probationary period.
