The Position
As a development engineer in mechanical engineering, you will develop products with a focus on valves and control/regulating devices. You will drive, develop, implement, and maintain work in line with overall goals and business plans. The focus of your work is product development, product care, and innovation.
Responsibilities
Develop new and existing products regarding valves and control/regulating devices so they meet current market requirements, standards, laws, and regulations
Monitor the external environment and actively follow developments in technology, applications, standards, and materials
Provide technical expertise to other departments. We have our state-of-the-art production and corporate management in the field, where we often work cross-functionally with test centers, project management, sales, and quality, among others
Develop and optimize new and existing products with regard to customer value, price, and logistics
Oversee verification, documentation, and drawing documentation for product development/changes
In the longer term, there are good opportunities to advance as a product specialist for selected products/applications
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
You have a degree as a technical engineer or civil engineer in mechanical engineering and/or product development, and have several years of work experience in R&D with emphasis on design work and practical application of, among other things, CAD.
You have a strong technical interest, good analytical skills, and a structured and methodical approach to work. You thrive with varied work that involves both teamwork and independent work. You take great responsibility for your tasks and enjoy working with freedom under responsibility, which is enabled by your curiosity, initiative, and solution-oriented approach.
It is a merit if you have experience with plastic and/or composite design, as well as understanding of working in business systems. It is highly desirable if you have knowledge of manufacturing technology and flow calculations.

Other Information
The position is a permanent employment, where we typically apply a 6-month probationary period. It is a full-time position based in Reftele. Depending on your profile, remote work may be possible, primarily from our Jönköping office.
