Job Responsibilities Development work at Sund Birsta AB aims to offer innovative and competitive products that contribute to the company's profitability. As a Development Engineer, you are responsible for, together with other specialists and generalists, developing new technical solutions and products of the future. Development work is conducted mainly in project form, and you typically participate from feasibility study to market introduction. In your work developing new technical solutions, you are expected to conduct theoretical and practical investigations to understand the task, often through visits and dialogue with our customers. Based on the conclusions you draw from the investigations conducted and the given requirements specification, you then develop various solution proposals. To be able to evaluate whether your solution proposals meet the stated requirements, you often need to produce and test appropriate functional prototypes. The role demands that you are comfortable working with an incomplete problem definition and that you can act based on the information you yourself deem necessary to solve the task. The assignment offers excellent opportunities for development through technical specialization within our product segments, strategic development issues, or internationally within the Danieli Group. Since we operate on an international arena, business travel is a natural part of the work. We believe you have: Post-secondary education, for example as a higher technical engineer or equivalent knowledge Strong expertise in your specialist area of machine design Basic knowledge of industrial automation and electrical design that enables you to create a functioning technical solution Good knowledge of Swedish and English language Documented ability to develop new technical solutions for industrial applications Driver's license, category B Furthermore, it is considered a merit if you have: Strong skills in CAD tools for mechanics (e.g., SolidWorks) Experience in customer relations Knowledge of our market and products The Development Engineer reports directly to the Development Manager.
