The developer role with us
As a developer, you have a key role in the administration's development and transformation work, with a focus on creating concrete value for residents, business owners, and operations. You have many contact points and help us take great, innovative steps by driving development initiatives from idea to implementation and follow-up. You operate at the intersection of operations and management, where you identify needs, analyze possibilities, and translate them into feasible development initiatives. A central part of the role is to create structure, momentum, and coordination—with an eye toward digitalization and new technology—so that ideas become reality and lead to actual results. As a developer, you become an important operational force that drives prioritized initiatives and ensures implementation and follow-up in the organization. You work closely with administration leadership and create transparency and learning in development work by monitoring results and benefits.
You will, among other things:
Project lead and process plan development initiatives and process flows
Plan and coordinate development efforts together with the organization
Facilitate workshops, dialogues, and development processes
Provide operational support to managers and employees in transformation and development work
Follow up on the effects and benefits of completed and ongoing development initiatives
Analyze and report status updates, decision-making materials, recommendations, and results to development leaders and administration leadership
Conduct environmental monitoring and collaborate in development work, for example in the municipality's and broader municipal networks
Your profile
To thrive in the role, you are a driving force that creates structure, engagement, participation, and direction even in complex contexts. You are flexible and confident in the face of change and have the ability to spread that mindset to others. We believe you see the organization as a whole to identify causal relationships when decisions need to be made. You can work independently while also having a strong ability to listen, build relationships, and bring others along. You have good communication skills in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We are looking for someone who has:
Post-secondary education in a relevant field, or alternatively work experience that the employer deems equivalent
And relevant work experience in:
Leading projects or development initiatives from start to finish
Leading change or transformation work in close collaboration with the organization
Coordinating multiple stakeholders and driving joint work forward
It is a merit to have relevant work experience in:
Work in public sector operations
Developing decision-making materials, analyses, and reports for management groups
Service design, innovation work, or improvement methodology
Measuring and following up on the effects and benefits of development work
About us
The Technical Administration has a broad and societally critical mission that impacts people's lives every day. Here we work with water and wastewater, waste and recycling, broadband and digital infrastructure, traffic and outdoor environments, and transportation services. The position is placed in the Office unit, which in addition to your assignment also handles information management, board administration, security, transportation services, and digitalization and new technology. The administration has a development leader with overall responsibility for the development portfolio and direction of ongoing work. You will also have a developer colleague whose area of responsibility is operational support and development within information technology. The administration also works with an ideas and prioritization council for the distribution of the innovation budget, where your expertise will make you an important participant. Our shared development culture is characterized by learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
