At the County Administration Board in Jämtland County, which is the region's highest civil total defense authority, you will have a central role in developing civil defense in the county. Total defense is currently in an expansive reconstruction phase. Jämtland County has great strategic significance for this reconstruction. Much will happen in the coming years that will have major impact on the continued development of total defense capability in our country. The Role As a Civil Defense Developer, you work to strengthen the county's preparedness. You drive development processes, analyze complex problems, and coordinate actors within the public sector, business, and civil society. The work involves taking initiative, creating structure in uncertainty, and contributing creative solutions that make a real difference. Your Main Responsibilities Develop regional strategies for civil defense and crisis preparedness Coordinate actors within the county and build sustainable relationships Conduct analyses of risks, vulnerabilities, and capabilities Drive development projects in close collaboration with internal and external parties Contribute to planning and exercises of total defense activities Who We Are Looking For You are proactive, flexible, and enjoy development. You thrive in a role where you can combine creativity with problem-solving analytical skills and where collaboration is a natural part of everyday work. To succeed in the role, you need to be confident in building relationships, establishing trust, navigating complex contexts, and experienced in working with many contact points. You have: Education in crisis preparedness, total defense, or public administration, or equivalent that the employer finds relevant for the assignment. Ability to translate analyses into concrete measures. Experience driving projects. Driver's license category B Meritorious if you have: Competence regarding legislation and work concerning protected objects. Experience working with population movements, such as evacuation and reception of refugees. Experience with GIS, geographic information systems. Competence in logistics planning.
