We're now seeking a Digital Archivist who wants to play a central role in developing our digital archive and contribute to creating sustainable solutions for the agency's digital information management.
With us, you'll work at the intersection of operations, information, and digitalization. You'll become part of the Digitalization and Development Department (DUA), where we drive the development of the Migration Agency's processes and capabilities through innovation and digitalization. Through integrated information management, we create the conditions for efficient, legally secure, and sustainable operations.
About the Role
As a Digital Archivist, you'll have an important role in developing and ensuring the Migration Agency's long-term information management. You'll work both strategically and operationally on matters relating to preservation, disposal, information appraisal, and digital archiving.
A central part of your assignment is to further develop the agency's digital archive and help make archiving a natural part of the agency's digital development. You'll work closely with operations, development teams, architects, and other specialists to ensure that information can be managed, preserved, and made accessible in a legally secure and sustainable manner throughout the information lifecycle.
You'll be part of the Information Governance Unit, where you'll work alongside other information governance specialists.
Examples of Work Tasks
develop and maintain the Migration Agency's digital archive and digital archiving processes,
contribute archival expertise to digitalization and development initiatives,
ensure that requirements for preservation, disposal, and information management are addressed when developing new systems and digital services,
work with process-oriented information mapping and information appraisal,
provide support and advice to operations on matters relating to digital archiving, information management, and archives,
develop and further enhance governing documents, guidance, and training,
collaborate with operations, IT, and other specialist roles on information governance and information management,
respond to consultation requests and surveys and participate in oversight from the National Archives and other supervisory authorities.
Who Are You?

You work in a structured and analytical manner and have an ability to see connections in complex information flows. You're communicative and have the ability to translate regulations into practical work methods in an educational way. The role involves many points of contact, which means you enjoy collaborating and building good relationships.
We're seeking someone who has
academic education in archival science, information science, or other education that the employer deems equivalent,
good knowledge of the regulations governing public information management, such as the Archives Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Administrative Procedure Act,
experience working with archives or information management,
strong ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish,
Swedish citizenship.
It's advantageous if you have
experience working with digital archives or digital archiving,
experience with information governance or information management,
experience with process-oriented information mapping and information appraisal,
experience with requirements specification or development work related to digital information management,
experience working in the public sector.

Terms of Employment
Location: The position is located at one of the Migration Agency's main offices: Stockholm or Norrköping.
Employment Type: Permanent employment with a six-month probationary period.
Start Date: According to agreement.
Working Hours: Full-time, office hours.
Remote Work: Opportunity for some remote work is available based on operational needs and conditions.

A security vetting with record check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted. Swedish citizenship is required for the position.
