This position belongs to the Water Technology unit, where your main area of work is to develop Gästrike Vattens water sources, operational strategies, and secure drinking water supply for future generations.

WORK TASKS
As an investigation engineer, you will continuously work with evaluating and analyzing levels, flows, and quality of groundwater and surface water. You work with risk assessments related to water protection as well as other activities necessary to protect water.
Your duties also include:
• Planning and conducting groundwater investigations and groundwater monitoring.
• Taking responsibility for and conducting investigations and analyses related to raw water sources and drinking water supply.
• Safeguarding GVAB's interests in drinking water matters by managing water permit applications, revising and developing water protection areas, and responding to referrals.
• Monitoring that Gästrike Vattens processes and facilities are operated according to applicable permits, water decrees, and regulatory requirements.
• Working with water protection areas, source tracking, water decrees, and permits.
• Representing the company externally on water matters.
• Contributing to the development of routines, procedures, and governing documents related to water resources and water protection.
• Providing technical support to the organization on matters concerning hydrogeology, water resources, and water protection.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
• Science-based education, preferably civil/university degree in environmental and water engineering, hydrogeology, chemistry, or equivalent.
• Driver's license category B
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
Work Experience
We believe you have a background in water and wastewater, process industry, or from an authority focused on drinking water/hydrogeology.
Experience with groundwater issues, work in water operations with hydrogeological models, and experience evaluating large datasets are merits.
Personal Qualities
To succeed in this role, you need to be communicative, analytical, structured, and have a strong ability to solve complex problems.
Employment Type: Permanent position.
