Health and Medical Care Department Region Uppsala's management office is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. The management office is led by the Regional Director and consists of approximately one thousand employees. With a guiding, supporting, and coordinating role, the management office has the task of supporting the political leadership and administrations so that political direction is implemented across the region's various activities. Our Activities The Health and Medical Care Department at Region Uppsala's management office supports the political leadership so that the goals and direction of health and medical care are achieved, to the benefit of residents and patients. Within the Healthcare Assignment Unit, about twenty employees work with operational support, investigations, development work, healthcare procurement, and follow-up. In the work group you will meet colleagues with different backgrounds in, among other things, medicine, dentistry, social sciences, and economics. At the management office and within the Health and Medical Care Department, continuous work is underway to develop Region Uppsala's governance, follow-up, and contract management within health and medical care. The work aims to ensure good quality, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness in care, regardless of operating model. Your Assignment The Healthcare Assignment Unit works closely with the political leadership and regularly prepares matters, service investigations, and decision-making documents within the health and medical care field. The work is often conducted within given timeframes and in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. In your role as investigator/project manager, a large part of your assignment will be linked to Region Uppsala's agreements with private healthcare providers and other care actors. You are responsible for coordinating, developing, and following up agreements within various care areas and serve as the region's contact person with healthcare providers and other collaboration partners. The work includes ongoing monitoring of quality, accessibility, production, and contract compliance, as well as analysis of results, development needs, and any need for contract modifications. You will also contribute to work with healthcare choice, public procurement according to LOV and LOU, and preparation of documents for decisions, procurements, and follow-ups. The assignment is conducted in collaboration with several parts of Region Uppsala and may include work carried out both within and outside the Healthcare Assignment Unit. Beyond your primary area of responsibility, you are expected to participate in development work and independently or together with colleagues lead and coordinate smaller or larger investigations and projects within the health and medical care field. Who Are You? • You are accustomed to taking responsibility for your work, which at our organization is often conducted both independently and together with others. • You have experience leading and working in project or assignment form. It is natural for you to collaborate with others, while you have your own drive and ability to move the work forward. • You enjoy analytical tasks and have the ability to absorb, structure, and evaluate complex information. • You are experienced in analyzing and reporting on the effects of proposals, agreements, and implemented measures, and can translate documents into clear conclusions and recommendations. • You have experience building sustainable and good relationships with employees, healthcare providers, and other collaboration partners. You have an understanding of the conditions in a politically governed organization that is both complex and changeable. Your Competence • We are looking for you with relevant university education and several years of experience with qualified work within health and medical care, the public sector, or other equivalent activities. • You have experience with contract management, contract follow-up, or development of follow-up models, preferably within the health and medical care field. • It is a merit if you have experience with larger contract areas, preferably within primary care or maternal health care, healthcare choice systems, public procurement according to LOU, or assignments according to LOV. • You can process large amounts of text and analyze statistics, reports, and quantitative operational data. • You express yourself very well in speech and writing and have experience preparing decision-making documents, investigations, and presentations for different target groups. • You have the ability to conduct dialogue with management, healthcare providers, employees, and other affected stakeholders in a clear, trustworthy, and professional manner. • You have good knowledge of Office 365 and quickly familiarize yourself with new system tools needed for the work. • Previous work experience from the health and medical care field, particularly at a strategic or overarching level, is a merit.
