Our operations
The Pharmacies and Over-the-Counter Retail unit is responsible for supervision of pharmacies, retail of non-prescription medicines, and medicine advertising. The unit currently has approximately 30 employees, divided into different functional areas. We are now recruiting two compliance investigators for the over-the-counter retail supervision functional area. The Medical Products Agency is the overarching supervisory authority for the trade in certain non-prescription medicines. Municipalities have inspection responsibility and report deficiencies in the trade to the Medical Products Agency. We work based on risk and proactively, conduct supervisory cases, and provide guidance to both business operators and municipalities.
Your responsibilities
In your role, you will primarily handle and investigate municipal deficiency reports and self-initiated supervisory matters. Supervisory work is conducted mostly from the office, but travel may occur. A relatively large part of your workday will consist of guiding, educating, and cooperating with the country's municipal inspectors and retail business operators. Guidance is provided via email, telephone, and through digital or on-site training. Your tasks may also include regulatory work, such as developing new regulations and guidelines.
Your background
We are looking for someone with a pharmaceutical, natural science, or other university degree that the employer considers equivalent. You have several years of professional experience working at a government agency or other public organization. It is advantageous if you have experience with supervision or investigation work. You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. We also welcome that you are comfortable working with and learning new digital solutions.

You are structured, committed, professional, and have the ability to take initiative. You can work independently and have the ability to balance quality and efficiency in your work. You enjoy social settings and collaborate well in groups. You like to educate and have the ability to adapt your communication to different forums. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
