Your responsibilities
As an investigator, you will independently conduct investigations and evaluations and prepare statements in supervisory matters and remittals. You will also internally review our operations and provide suggestions for improvements that lead to increased efficiency and legal certainty. Your responsibilities include being a management support for officials and politicians in preparing decision-making documents. In this role, you are an expert in the regulations that govern the board's and administration's work, including the Municipal Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, and the Education Act.
In the role, you will in time serve as Data Protection Officer for Kalix Municipality, which requires that you are comfortable with the Data Protection Regulation and can explain complex concepts, requirements, and intentions of GDPR in a way that makes it clear and understandable for our operations. You will be responsible for the administration's data protection work.
The work consists largely of writing, which requires good language skills and that you master the principles of accessibility and plain language. You will work both independently and in groups, together with different people and roles within the municipality's operations.
We are seeking
Appropriate academic degree in political science, law, educational science, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
Experience with investigative work
Very good knowledge of school laws and regulations, the Data Protection Regulation, the Municipal Act, and the Administrative Procedure Act
Very good knowledge of the structure and organization of the school system
Very good ability to gather, analyze, and process complex information
Very good ability to express yourself clearly in both spoken and written Swedish
Merits
Education in qualified investigation
Experience working with investigations in municipal or state administration
Good knowledge of the school system's governance and responsibility structure and regulatory provisions
Experience working with school law matters
Experience working operatively and strategically with GDPR
