Popis:

Brå works to reduce crime and increase safety in society. Do you want to be part of this work? Brå's mission is to promote crime prevention work through development, production statistics, research, and knowledge dissemination, primarily to the government and authorities within the justice system. Our office is located on Fleminggatan in central Stockholm. We currently have approximately 220 employees. Brå is seeking two investigators for a newly established unit: Lovis – Research and Development of Promising Interventions. Lovis is a research-based innovation operation tasked with identifying and/or developing new crime prevention and reduction initiatives targeting particularly prioritized and serious crime problems. As an investigator at Lovis, you will work with applied research. Your role includes assessing the state of research, developing interventions, and driving development work within police, municipalities, and other crime prevention actors. Parallel to the development work, you will examine whether the interventions are effective and how they function in practice—that is, so-called action research, which requires both creative ability, integrity, and a systematic work approach. The work may at times involve project management responsibilities. The position also involves occasional travel. Your Education and Experience We are looking for you who have - a degree in social sciences from a university or college - at least three years of experience working with scientific studies in public operations (government agencies, universities, or equivalent) - worked on a project from start to finish, together with others - strong ability to compile research - strong ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English. It is advantageous to have research training in a social science subject, a master's degree in criminology, or training with a clear focus on investigation methodology, evaluation, and advanced data collection. It is also advantageous to have previous experience conducting systematic reviews or impact evaluations, knowledge of the justice system, experience working as a project manager, and experience with development work together with Brå's target groups. Your Personal Qualities As a person, you are curious, unpretentious, and analytical. You are comfortable working independently and find it easy to communicate and collaborate with others. In this role, it is also important that you are flexible in your work approach, can handle multiple tasks in parallel, and can represent Brå in external settings. You should be able to adapt how you communicate and gather knowledge, depending on whether you are collaborating with other researchers or with Brå's various target groups. Great weight is placed on your personal qualities and abilities. Employment Terms The position is a permanent full-time employment. Brå applies a 6-month probationary period and individual salary setting. Start date by agreement. The position is security-classified and requires Swedish citizenship.
