We conduct inspections, quality reviews, and assessments of permits for independent schools. The agency is located in Gothenburg, Linköping, Lund, Stockholm, and Umeå. The Linköping office is part of the Southern region together with Lund and Gothenburg. In this position you will participate in the School Inspectorate's inspector training and ongoing professional development is part of our daily work. Work tasks As an investigator, your work will include conducting inspections within all school forms and after-school programs, based on requirements in school legislation. A central task is to visit the activities being inspected on-site, which involves regular travel with overnight stays. Work tasks include planning, document review and qualified analysis, as well as interviews and observations during visits. You will also write and present decisions regarding inspections and/or quality reviews, and maintain ongoing dialogue with principals and responsible school administrators. As an investigator, you contribute to the agency's mission with expertise based on your pedagogical education and professional background. The position also includes contributing to knowledge exchange and improving work for efficient, consistent, and equitable case handling. Qualifications You should have A teacher's degree or other pedagogical education that the employer considers equivalent Several years of work experience in schools Current work experience with qualified investigation work, which includes collecting, analyzing, and processing complex information Very good ability to express yourself accessibly and correctly in speech and writing in Swedish Driver's license for a passenger car It is advantageous to have Experience working in a leadership role (for example, principal, lead teacher, or team leader) Knowledge of administrative law Experience with investigation work within public administration, including case handling Experience working with school legal matters Experience with inspection work To thrive at the School Inspectorate, you should enjoy working in an operation with varied tasks and a work environment where colleagues have different competencies and experiences.
