About the PositionThe position is placed at the Swedish Council for Adult Education's legal unit. Both lawyers and investigators work there, and the current position combines these two roles. The position primarily involves working with reviews and investigations of folk high schools' state grant management as well as preparation of decisions, but the work also includes legal matters that may arise within our organization. You work both independently and in close collaboration with other colleagues.
Your tasks will include:
Handle, assess, and analyze documentation regarding state grant recipients, primarily folk high schools' operations
Participate in the preparation of cases and develop decision and action proposals aimed at ensuring that state grants are used in accordance with current terms
Contribute to the further development of the Swedish Council for Adult Education's work with information and review matters as a whole
Participate in the preparation of the Swedish Council for Adult Education's terms and guidelines for state grants to study associations and folk high schools
Participate in reviews and court matters
Handle matters related to student rights
Provide legal support to other units within the organization that handle state grants

Qualifications we are seeking:
Law degree and preferably some years of relevant work experience for the position

Experience using digital tools
Good collaboration skills
Meritorious: Experience from work within or with civil society organizations as well as knowledge of public education's role and conditions.
