Brå's mission is to promote crime prevention through development, production statistics, research, and knowledge dissemination, primarily to the government and authorities within the justice system. Brå is seeking an analyst for a newly established unit: Lovis – Research and Development of Promising Interventions. Lovis is a research-based innovation activity tasked with developing new crime-fighting and preventive measures targeting particularly prioritized and serious crime problems. As an analyst at Lovis, you will work with effectiveness evaluations, based on previous research as well as available and self-collected data. This requires particularly strong skills in relevant quantitative methods and analytical ability. The work includes occasional contact with the justice system and Brå's other target groups.
Your Education and Experience
We are looking for someone with:
- a social science degree from higher education
- completed at least one study using quantitative methods within the framework of service in public administration or in an advanced level university thesis (the study should be relevant to Brå's area of activity)
- good ability to compile research
- good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English
It is meritorious to have work experience from research in public administration (agencies, higher education, or equivalent), experience conducting effectiveness evaluations, knowledge of the justice system and its data sources, conducted systematic reviews, completed courses in quantitative methods at an advanced level, and experience working on projects from start to finish together with others.

As a person, you are curious, unpretentious, and analytical. You are accustomed to working independently and have an easy time communicating and collaborating with others. Great importance is placed on your personal qualities and abilities.
Employment Terms
The position is a permanent, full-time employment. Brå applies a 6-month probationary period and individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
