About the Position We are seeking 1–2 research analysts with experience in qualified research work who want to work evaluating cultural policy and analyzing developments in the cultural sector. As a research analyst at Kulturanalys, you will work with the agency's mission to evaluate, analyze, and report on the effects of various measures within the cultural policy area. This involves designing and conducting research and evaluations and participating in the agency's overall planning of analyses in the cultural policy area. Your tasks will include collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data through interviews, document studies, and surveys developing policy recommendations based on the analysis writing reports and presenting and communicating research findings orally and in writing contacting data providers and collaborating with agencies and interest organizations contributing to quality assurance by providing and receiving feedback on report drafts at various stages ordering assignments from external contractors actively participating in the agency's activity planning. The work is conducted in project form in close collaboration with other colleagues at the agency. In some projects you will be the project leader, in others a project team member. Part of the work is conducted within the agency's assignment from the Nordic Council of Ministers – Kulturanalys Norden. This is a permanent full-time position with an initial six-month probationary period, with start as soon as possible after agreement. The workplace is located in fine office facilities at the Världskulturmuseet (World Culture Museum) at Korsvägen in central Gothenburg. Travel may be required in this position. About You Qualifications We are looking for someone with an academic degree at least at the master's level in the social sciences several years of professional experience in policy analysis experience leading research projects good knowledge of qualitative analysis and evaluation methods strong ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. It is advantageous if you have research training good knowledge of the cultural sector and experience working with cultural issues at a government agency and/or in regional administration knowledge of quantitative analysis methods. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, you need to be analytical and have strong communication skills both orally and in writing. You should be responsible, flexible, and able to independently plan and carry out your tasks in a timely manner and with high quality. Good collaboration skills and openness to different perspectives and viewpoints are valued. About the Agency for Cultural Analysis Kulturanalys is a government agency tasked with evaluating, analyzing, and reporting on the effects of proposals and implemented measures in the cultural sector. Kulturanalys is also mandated to assist the government with information and recommendations for developing national cultural policy in relation to cultural policy goals. In addition to its national assignment, Kulturanalys has an assignment from the Nordic Council of Ministers to oversee Kulturanalys Norden - a Nordic knowledge center for cultural policy.
